Fine Art Catalogue › Still Point

Still Point

US$78.00

The Narrative

The Narrative In a moment of profound stillness, a woman lies at rest, partially draped in a soft cloth of beige and pink. Presented in a vertical portrait orientation, this piece captures the posture of reclamation—a body no longer on guard, but finally at peace. Still Point serves as the quiet center of the series, representing the arrival at a place of hope and internal restoration.

The Technique

  • The Intervention: Grace Remondo uses a unique overlay method for this work, placing a sheet of glass over the print to allow olive green acrylic to run vertically across the resting form.

  • The Symbolism: These fluid, downward lines symbolize "dried tears"—emotions that were contained for too long, finally allowed to flow and find their rest.

  • The Process: This work is a high-fidelity photograph of the original glass-and-paint assembly, capturing the organic movement of the paint as it "washes" over the state of peace.

Philanthropy & Community Mentorship

Empowering the Next Generation of Artists

The Bloubergrant High School Legacy Project (2024 – Present) > Grace serves as a Mentor for the Bloubergrant High School Photography Club. This residency program goes beyond technical skills, teaching students from the Conceptualization of an idea to the Process of Creativity throughout Art Photography.

The 2026 Vision: > Our goal is to empower students to transition from "taking photos" to "creating a corpus of work." By teaching them sponsorship and marketing skills, the program aims to help the club become self-sustaining, ensuring that every student has access to the equipment they need to tell their story.

“We aren't just building photographers; we are building visual storytellers and future entrepreneurs.”
