Portrait Session Booking Policies & Terms

Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your requested session date and time.
Confirmation: Sessions are not reserved until both the booking form is submitted and the deposit payment has cleared.
Final Balance: The remaining 50% balance is due on or before the day of the portrait session before the delivery of proof galleries.

Client Rescheduling: You may reschedule your session up to 7 days before your appointment without penalty. The deposit will be transferred to your new date (must be scheduled within 60 days).
Late Rescheduling / Cancellations: Rescheduling requests made less than 7 days before the shoot, or full cancellations, forfeit the initial deposit.
Late Arrivals: Studio and outdoor shoot schedules are strictly maintained. If you arrive late, that time is deducted from your total session duration.

Weather Calls: Cape Town weather can be unpredictable. If severe rain, high winds, or dangerous conditions occur, the photographer reserves the right to reschedule the shoot.
Rescheduling for Weather: Weather-related reschedules carry no fee, and your deposit will transfer directly to the next mutually available date.
Overcast Conditions: Soft, overcast light is ideal for outdoor portraiture. Sessions will proceed as planned under overcast skies unless heavy rain or unsafe winds prevent shooting.

Studio Etiquette: Please arrive dressed or with chosen wardrobe options ready.
Styling & Props: Clients are responsible for bringing their preferred outfits unless specific wardrobe or fabric styling was arranged in advance during your consultation.
Studio Conduct: Please handle studio space and equipment with care. Clients are responsible for any damages caused to studio props or backdrops by guests or pets.

Proof Gallery: A private online proofing gallery will be delivered within 10–14 business days following your session for final image selection.
Retouching & Editing: Final high-resolution images are professionally retouched to match studio standards. Raw, unedited files are not provided under any circumstances.
Personal Use License: Clients receive a personal print and display license. Images may be printed for personal display and shared on personal social media accounts.
Commercial Rights & Copyright: Full copyright remains with the photographer. Images may not be sold, licensed, altered with heavy filters, or used for commercial/third-party gain without prior written consent.

Print Approval: For collections including physical luxury albums or museum-grade canvas prints, physical production begins only after the client approves final digital proofs.
Turnaround Time: Physical print products and custom albums require 3–5 weeks for printing, artisan binding, and quality inspection after proof approval.
