Fine Art Catalogue › Behind Blurred Lines

Behind Blurred Lines

US$78.00

The Narrative

A profound study in what remains unseen. Behind The Blurred Lines explores the fragile boundary between memory and reality, where the "blur" is not an absence of detail, but a protective layer for the soul. It captures that quiet, internal space where a survivor retreats to find safety.

As a subtle and atmospheric companion to Unspoken Routines, this piece suggests that clarity is not always the goal of recovery—sometimes, the soft edges of a blurred memory are what allow us to move forward without the weight of the past.

The Technique

  • Medium: Museum-grade Giclée Print on 310gsm Archival Cotton Rag.

  • Method: Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and soft-focus layering to create a painterly, non-literal representation of the human form.

  • Hand-Finished Detail: Following a conversion to monochrome, Grace Remondo applies light, ethereal watercolor washes to the printed surface. This introduces a soft "pulse" of color back into the blurred memory.

  • The Feel: The work has a dreamlike, watercolor texture that invites the viewer to look through the image rather than just at it.

Philanthropy & Community Mentorship

Empowering the Next Generation of Artists

The Bloubergrant High School Legacy Project (2024 – Present) > Grace serves as a Mentor for the Bloubergrant High School Photography Club. This residency program goes beyond technical skills, teaching students from the Conceptualization of an idea to the Process of Creativity throughout Art Photography.

The 2026 Vision: > Our goal is to empower students to transition from "taking photos" to "creating a corpus of work." By teaching them sponsorship and marketing skills, the program aims to help the club become self-sustaining, ensuring that every student has access to the equipment they need to tell their story.

“We aren't just building photographers; we are building visual storytellers and future entrepreneurs.”
